Via Church

Via Anglican Church is an evangelical Protestant church in the Anglican tradition, which meets in Badhoevedorp (near Schiphol).  We are a community of followers of Jesus Christ who want to grow together to become more like our Lord, and who want to shine the light of Christ in our area.

We love to meet together to worship God, to hear from His Word, to pray, and to share our lives (Acts. 2:42).  We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news for the Amsterdam area and for the whole world, and that in Him we discover the meaning of life (John 10:10).  We are constantly reminded of our own weaknesses and failures, but are convinced that Jesus is the answer to all of them, and want more than anything to bear witness to Him through our lives (2 Cor. 12:8).

We are part of the historic Christian church, and as such affirm the authority of the Bible in all matters of faith.  Along with Christians all over the world, we also affirm the Universal Creeds of the church, in particular the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.  We are part of the Anglican Convocation in Europe, itself part of the Gafcon movement of Anglicans worldwide.

We are a new fellowship with our first meeting on Easter 2024.  We believe that God has called us to be a witness in our area and are excited to see what He will do as we follow Him together.  Since we are made up of people from many places—some Dutch and others from all over the world—our services take place in English.

Our services are both reverent and friendly, liturgical and relaxed.  We love to sing both old hymns and new songs.  We give priority to the hearing and preaching of God’s Word (the Bible).  Most Sundays we observe the Lord’s Supper together.
